Route Thailand
Howdy,
We hebben van de onverwachte pauze dankbaar gebruik gemaakt om onze route verder uit te stippelen. Onderstaand zie je het resultaat:
Bangkok
We zijn er al geweest, maar toch staan er nog een aantal plekjes op onze lijst zoals het Grand Palace en de liggende Boedha. Ook hebben we een fietstocht door China Town in de planning staan. Deze wordt georganiseerd door de Nederlander Co van Kessel.
Ko Tao
Na een aantal dagen zullen we van Bangkok naar Ko Tao afreizen om daar te gaan duiken! We gaan allebei een cursus PADI open water diver volgen, zodat we de mooiste onderwaterplekken kunnen bezoeken!
Kao Sok National Park
Twintig procent van Thailand bestaat uit zogenaamde National Parken, waaronder Kao Sok. In dit park zullen we diverse trekkings gaan doen en slapen in boomhutten!
Similan Islands (Ko Similan)
Dit eilandengroepje is werkelijk waar wonderschoon. Hier gaan we voornamelijk chillen, waaronder hoopjes keren snorkelen en hangmatjes scoren!
Ko Chang
Tsja… ook hier is het toverwoord “chillen”.
Phetchaburi/Nakhon Pathom/ Ayutthaya
Na genoeg gechilld te hebben gaan we bovenstaande steden bezoeken. Deze drie steden hebben alle een oud stadshart en zijn voor Thailand van grote historische waarde. Ook hier zullen weer veel tempels, boedha’s te vinden zijn… Mochten we geen tempels meer kunnen zien, vertrekken we naar het Noorden.
Phu Hin Rongkla National Park
Ook dit park is prachtig. Het park onderscheidt zich van andere parken door de aanwezigheid van veel watervallen. Ook hier zullen we gaan hiken. Even het lichaam een work-out geven!
Chiang Mai en omgeving
Van veel mensen hebben we al gehoord, dat Chiang Mai erg toeristisch maar we willen het wel een bezoekje geven. In de buurt van Mai Hang Son heb je veel hooggebergte. Uiteraard gaan we hier wat heuveltjes beklimmen!
Chiang Rai en omgeving
In dit gebied zijn er (vooralsnog) niet veel toeristen te vinden. Het is er vrij hoog en daardoor een stuk kouder dan in het zuiden van Thailand. Eens even kijken of we onze thermo kleding al nodig hebben…
Chiang Khong
Bij dit plaatje zullen we de grens oversteken naar Laos. Om vervolgens door te reizen naar de stad Ban Houayxay.
