Donderdag Deze dag gingen we er vroeg uit en begonnen met het bekende ochtendritueel: douchen, inpakken, ontbijten & spullen kopen voor in de trein.
Uiteindelijk stapten we wat verlaat de metro in en na een langere reis dan verwacht werd het ineens flink rennen voor de trein. Met de overvolle bepakkingen, slippers en boodschappen in de hand was het een hele opgave. Hurry hurry! Bij de ingang moesten onze tassen nog gecheckt worden. Snel alles door de X ray zo ook de laatste tas met onze boodschappen met eten en fruit voor in de trein. De wet van Murphy kwam in het spel want op het moment dat je het absoluut niet kan gebruiken rollen de appels doodleuk van de band. ALLE APPELS VERZAMELEN! Met fruit in beide handen en afzakkende broeken halen we de trein net. Dit gaan we de volgende keer anders doen…Bij aankomst in het hostel bleek het hoofd bestandsdeel van het matras hout te zijn. We begepen de boodschap: we slapen de komende twee dagen chinese style, oftewel op een houten plank. Het was lekker weer dus we liepen wat langs het meer en genoten van het uitzicht.
Snurkmonster
In de avond werden we door onze roomie alvast gewaarschuwd voor de Franse dame die boven haar sliep. Ze vertelde dat ze de nacht ervoor wakker werd gehouden door haar gesnurk.Gelukkig lagen we al een tijd in bed voordat de dame in kwestie de dormroom binnen kwam zetten. Carolien en Arjan hadden allebei hun oordopjes in en waren dus goed voorbereid. Martijn had geen oordopjes (twee jaar warmoesstraat en je slaapt overal doorheen) en heeft het geweten! Wat een snurkmonster was dit zeg, Martijn stond op een gegeven moment het stapelbed heen en weer te schudden. Martijn accepteerde zijn lot en keerde terug naar zijn houten plank, MERDE!
Supersize me!Vrijdag voelde Carolien zich behoorlijk zwakjes en besloot een dagje binnen te blijven. De mannen huurden een fiets en gingen tegen beter weten in, er was regen voorspeld, een stuk om het meer fietsen. Niet lang daarna begon het inderdaad flink te regenen en na nog een moedige poging om tempels bezoeken keerden ze terug.
Carolien was inmiddels wakker geworden en we bekeken met z’n allen de film supersize me (over MC Donalds) in de bar.
Hoestdrank
Carolien voelde zich aan het einde van de dag nog steeds niet top en haar hoest kriebelde hevig. We gingen dan ook op zoek naar een passend medicijn. Uiteindelijk vonden we een traditionele Chinese hoestdrank met aparte ingredienten.Gelukkig voelde Carolien zich de volgende dag stukken beter en gingen we met z’n drieen een fiets huren. De fietsen waren duidelijk gemaakt voor de Chinese markt:

Beetje jammer dat zo iemand dan ook niet wakker te krijgen is. Arme Martijn………..Hoe is het met de rugblessures naar het ‘ fietsen’ op die kabouter-dingen? Ziet er wel erg leuk uit op de foto’s. Jammer van het weer weer (jaha weer weer ) Prachtige foto’s ook van de tempels en omgeving. Hoe gaat het Arjan en de kaartspelletjes, heeft hij al een keer gewonnen :-D.
